MegaDungeon SuperThread Stickie!

Post by bobjester »

Solomoriah said if we came, he would build it... or something like that.
Actually, he said he'd make this a stickie if someone put the Megadungeon threads all in one thread.

There are a LOT of Megadungeon threads, and many more that would fit well into this catagory, no matter if it originated in "Maps & Floorplans", "The Workshop", "Classic D&D", "1st edition AD&D" or "General Discussion". This is my first installment, and I will add more as I go, and if I have missed any, please feel free to add it.

OK, that's all I got for this installment. I'm sure I've put some links in this thread that some may think don't belong, and there will be threads that you think I've neglected to put in here. Truth is, I didn't think I'd be able to put all the threads I thought were relevant in here, in one sitting.

So please, go through the links, let me know what belongs, add it, or have me add it, whatever works for everyone concerned & what works for the mods.

Nice bobjester. I could never find the Philly/S. Jersey Megadungeon thread. This is certainly a good compromise to sticky instead of a whole new forum. Good work sir!

Very good Bobjester...wow. This looks great...I knew that there were a lot of threads that would fit under this heading, I just did not think that there were this many. 8) Very cool.

Thanks! :)

I'm sure there are more threads that will fit well here, but the initial "Megadungeon" search I did was 112 pages long, so I picked the ones I 'knew' were in some way useful to megadungeon design.

Fantastic research there, but is there one playing online? PbP is always preferred.

Yes, that is a lot, and I seemed to have missed the other posts here, namely RPGuru's post, which I should answer now:

Thanks, but I am totally unaware of any PbP megadungeons online. I still have 3 PBEM's open, but by definition, only one (Ruins of Greyhawk) is technically a megadungeon...

My own thread on How to create a megadungeon. Now that I've found this stickie, I'll need to read up on the other articles on this topic.

My megadungeon is Dwarf Home. Over 1,000 rooms on the first 3 levels. At least 11 levels planned.
